What is Open Badges?

A new digital credentialing method that uses blockchain technology. It includes an individual's learning history, skills, knowledge, honors, experiences, and competencies as metadata in the badge image, issues, and verifies badges using blockchain, ensuring reliability and enabling easy sharing of badges on individual's social networks.

K-OpenBadge

An international standard Open Badges service platform developed by blockchain-specialized company SWEmpire, selected and supported as a research project by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, ensuring global interoperability as a Korean-style Open Badges service.

Acquired digital badge international standard certification

We have acquired certification for all three functions (Issuer, Displayer, and Host) of the 1EdTech Open Badges standard, an international standard for digital badges.

Self-Sovereign Open Badges Service

Utilizes one of the core blockchain technologies, DID (Decentralized Identity), during the use of Open Badges services. DID is a technology that enables self-sovereign identity authentication, allowing the verification of identity without exposing personal information.

Mobile App Certificate Submission Feature

K-OpenBadge allows the submission of metadata and forms combined in mobile apps for institutions that require formatted certificates, using SWEmpire's patented electronic certificate distribution technology, in addition to the basic feature of providing badges (certificates) as images.

AI Curation

Provides a visualized, customized learning profile service for badge members and issuing institutions using a blockchain-based AI engine. It is a personalized education content curation service utilizing knowledge tokens.
